{"id":473,"date":"2024-04-14T12:01:00","date_gmt":"2024-04-14T12:01:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.spamrider.net\/?p=473"},"modified":"2025-09-13T12:06:13","modified_gmt":"2025-09-13T12:06:13","slug":"quote-of-the-day-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.spamrider.net\/index.php\/2024\/04\/14\/quote-of-the-day-3\/","title":{"rendered":"The Planckojiffy"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The shortest unit of time recognized by The Interuniversal Transdimensional Time Travel Council of Geneva, Wisconsin (or ITTTC) is the Planckojiffy*.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And the reason that the Planckojiffy is the shortest recognized unit of time is because the Planckojiffy just so also happens to be the shortest unit of time that can ever possibly be measured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Plackojiffy is equal to the amount of time that it takes for light to travel through a vacuum for the distance of one Planckojigger**, which correspondingly is the shortest unit of <em>distance<\/em> that can ever possibly be measured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So in other words, in terms that the video gamers amongst you will most certainly understand, the Planckojiffy is effectively and essentially the frame rate of our universe, with the Planckojigger itself being equivalent to the pixel density, thus defining our \u201cscreen resolution\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to this and other similar strange serendipities there are certain people among us who have suggested that our entire reality is in fact nothing more than a giant computer simulation (or video game if you will) in which we ourselves are nothing more than player characters.  Or, if my own personal suspicions prove correct, in most people\u2019s cases, non-player characters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I once asked Schmelnoz about this and in response he immediately stopped whatever it was he was doing, briefly stared at me, glitched in and out and pixelized for a few seconds, and then went right back about his business as if nothing had happened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAny other questions?\u201d he mumbled offhand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I kept my mouth shut after that because I just so happen to cherish my own personal sanity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>*Don\u2019t bother trying to look that word up because as of the time of my writing this it is isn\u2019t even in the dictionaries yet.&nbsp; And by the time it <em>is<\/em> in the dictionaries the dictionaries have already become obsolete because people stopped using them a long time ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>**In The Present for some reason we refer to these units as \u201cPlanck length\u201d and \u201cPlanck time\u201d.&nbsp; &nbsp;A Planckojiffy&nbsp; (aka \u201cPlanck time\u201d) is an unimaginably short amount of time.&nbsp; We\u2019re talking like 0.000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001 seconds.&nbsp; You can look <em>that<\/em> up if you want to.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The shortest unit of time recognized by The Interuniversal Transdimensional Time Travel Council of Geneva, Wisconsin (or ITTTC) is the Planckojiffy*.
