And I do have to say I think it\u2019s a good one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In my timeline the expression used to be \u201cHumility is a virtue.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Which I also thought was a good one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But you\u2019ve got to understand what true humility really is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s essentially just being entirely open and honest about yourself, with yourself, and with others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But here it seems like everyone thinks it means something more like never admitting to anything good about yourself. Or in other words always accentuating your own faults and making yourself out to be less than you really are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That\u2019s not humbling yourself, and personally I don\u2019t consider such false humility to be a virtue at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
