Although most people don’t like to admit it, the truth is there are some things out there we can just never know. And I guess that’s where faith comes in.
Because it is when you genuinely do not know and cannot know something that you get to choose what you are going to believe.
(I say “genuinely” because a lot of times when people claim to not know something it is only because they have chosen and continue to actively choose not to know because they know that knowing is going to cause them to make some changes they are not willing or not ready to make.)
And when I say “faith,” I’m not talking about the religious bullshit kind where you believe something just because it’s what someone has told you to believe.
I’m talking about choosing to believe something because of the things you do know and know for sure to be true.
Anyway, I’m through waxing all philosophical now.
